Noisy Octoberfestival in Munich

Debora from the USA: The room was so loud that we would not stay the second night. There were drunks yelling in the street until 4:30 am, and closing the windows did not help. After asking the desk clerk for a quieter room, she told us that all rooms are loud, and said "everybody knows that it is loud here". The reason I got a hotel room is that I am not from Munich I have never stayed in a hotel that was as noisy as your hotel. We could not sleep, even with windows closed. It was warm, and the windows needed to be open, but too loud. I could never stay there again with that kind of noise, nor with being told by your staff that I should have known how loud it is.

Thank you very much for having stayed with us during Oktoberfest and thanks for writing a review about our hotel.

We are happy to hear that you did like our hotel and your stay in general, but certainly we’re mostly very sorry to hear how much you were bothered due to the Oktoberfest visitors.

Indeed there were 6 Million visitors in Munich for that occasion and as in all other years before a very high amount of the visitors got very drunk during that time.

As the festival area can be reached within a five minutes walk, it’s indeed true that many off them pass by night next to our hotel.

Unfortunately there’s really nothing we can do about that, even we inhabitants are mostly more than happy when Oktoberfest is over and regular life is back, but maybe we should include a short notice for our guests of next year, such way that they are aware of the noisiness which brings the closeness.

Thanks again and we do wish you’ll keep nevertheless a positive remembrance of your stay in Munich.
